Dr. Sandra Dahlberg, Ph.D. — Dr. Dahlberg (left) is an Assistant Professor and an Assistant Chair for the Administration Department of English, College of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Houston - Downtown. Dr. Dahlberg has been a UHD College Bowl faculty advisor since 1998 and has served as the tournament director since 1999. College Bowl began during Dr. Dahlberg's first year at UHD in 1997 under Dr. Tom Corti. "I support College Bowl because I believe an integral part of being a university student is the opportunity to engage in intellectual competition and events that foster relationships with other students and faculty members. These activities enrich the university experience, create meaningful ties to the university, and stimulate individual growth on many levels. I also immensely enjoy working with the talented students on UHD's College Bowl team."

Dr. Michelle Moosally, Ph.D. — Dr. Moosally is an Assistant Professor in the Department of English. This is Dr. Moosally's second year as UHD College Bowl coach.

Dr. Martha Nell Sullivan, Ph.D. — Dr. Sullivan is an Associate Professor in the Department of English under the College of Humanitites and Social Sciences. She has been with UHD College Bowl for four years now as a Faculty Co-Sponsor. "I originally got involved with College Bowl because I played College Bowl intramurals during my sophomore, junior, and senior years at Vanderbilt. My intramural team actually won in Fall of 1985! I made the University's College Bowl Team my senior year, and I played for Vanderbilt at the regionals in March 1986. I loved playing College Bowl when I was in college, and now as a Professor, I see that it encourages the best kind of intellectual competition and engagement among students. In the anti-intellectual climate that, unfortunately, pervades Texas and most of the U.S., College Bowl competition makes knowledge cool again."
