Congratulations Team Dateline!
The Dateline Team, led by Billy Hoya Jr. (the bald headed fellow), were victorious in this year's UHD College Bowl tournament. Team Dateline recorded an impressive undefeated record in the tournament. Amy Swepston, Kerry Madole, and Laura Caligiuri (from left to right), comprised the remaining members of Team Dateline. Returning Junior Billy Hoya Jr. and Senior Kerry Madole returned from last year's tournament (though they played for Team SGA last year) to lead their team to victory.
Congratulations to Will Bateman
Will Bateman (center, green shirt) was the top individual scorer at the annual UHD College Bowl tournament. Will amassed a total of 600 points overall to win the Top Individual Scorer Award. More impressive, Will was a walk-on to the tournament, amassing his points without attending any of the previous College Bowl practice sessions. Will's team placed second overall to Team Dateline in the final team standings.
College Bowl Advisors Rule!
Special thanks goes out to our College Bowl advisors. Once again, they went above and beyond the call of duty to help make this year's tournament an outstanding success. Dr. Sandra Dahlberg (our senior advisor), Dr. Michelle Moosally (our College Bowl coach), Dr. Martha Nell Sullivan (College Bowl advisor), and Dr. Yvonne Kendall (College Bowl advisor) have all put in countless hours in preparation, practices, and recruiting for the 2001-2002 UHD College Bowl team. College Bowl would also like to thank Dr. Robert Westerfelhaus and Dr. Merrilee Cunningham for their involvements with the UHD College Bowl tournament.
